Snotrockets, Beach Balls and The Wave

Dodger Stadium. Beach balls. The wave. A Giants loss. It all sucks.

What doesn’t suck? Madison Bumgarner and his snotrockets (hey good band name). Even though Bumgarner took the loss tonight he still pitched very well. Unfortunately he didn’t get much support, the Giants having only scored 1 run. A night and game best forgotten.

Here are Madison Bumgarner’s snotrocket totals and other vital statistics for Monday, June 24, 2013 on the road vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers (suck):

  • L, 7.0 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 5 K, 1 HR, 9 SNR (snotrockets): 1 vs. lefties, 2 vs. righties, 6 other. 2 double and 1 at-bat.
  • Bumgarner’s most prolific inning was the 7th in which he blew 3 snotrockets.
  • Bumgarner now has 26 snotrockets vs. the Dodgers this year and 185 overall in 2013.

Once again @SanDiegoGiants on Twitter has provided some great Bumgarner double snotrocket screencaps (note – he described it as a DNR. I actually call them double SNR. Important stuff here):

And some closeups because you know you want them. First one side:

Bumgarner’s next start should be this Sunday, June 30 on the road vs. the Colorado Rockies. See you here or on Twitter for all the exciting snotrocket action.
