I hate Coors Field.
If you guessed by that first sentence that the Giants lost tonight’s game then you are correct, oh perceptive one. Well, at least Madison Bumgarner didn’t get the loss. That’s a small consolation. A bigger consolation was that it was a good night for viewing some snotrockets, even with the shoddy camerawork going on:
Here are Madison Bumgarner’s snotrocket totals and other vital statistics for Tuesday, May 20, 2014 on the road vs. the Colorado Rockies:
- ND, 6.0 IP, 8 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 6 K, 1 HR, 1 HBP, 12 SNR (snotrockets): 0 vs. lefties, 7 vs. righties, 5 other. 1 on base SNR.
- Madison Bumgarner blew at least 1 snotrocket in every inning he pitched tonight.
- Madison Bumgarner now has 32 SNR (snotrockets) vs. the Rockies this year and 128 SNR overall in 2014.
@SanDiegoGiants captured two really cool Bumgarner snotrockets in tonight’s game. First up is a stealth snotrocket, in the background, while the camera was focused on the Rockies’ Troy Tulowitzki walking to 1st base (after Bumgarner plunked him):
And then this in the 7th inning, while Bumgarner was on 1st base after being hit by a pitch (retaliation for the Tulowitzki plunking?). I like the look of intense appreciation in the umpire’s face as he views a Bumgarner snotrocket up close:
You can tell the ump is most impressed:
Madison Bumgarner’s next start should be this Sunday, May 25, 2014 at home vs. the Minnesota Twins. See you here or on Twitter for all the exciting snotrocket action.
And as always fuck you Dinger.
