Taco Snotrockets

The Madison Bumgarner Vintage Snotrocket Tour continues with Bumgarner’s second start of 2010. The San Francisco Giants lefty (pitching only) faced the Colorado Rockies that Thursday night in June and threw a pretty good game but sustained his second loss of the season. He also expressed many snotrockets in the high altitude night. Thin air = more snotrockets? Something for science to ponder.

Here are Madison Bumgarner’s snotrocket totals and other vital statistics for Thursday, July 1, 2010 on the road vs. the Colorado Rockies:

  • L, 7.0 IP, 9 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 5 K, 16 SNR (snotrockets): 5 vs. lefties, 2 vs. righties, 9 other. 2 at-bat SNR.
  • Madison Bumgarner’s most prolific inning was the 7th in which he blew 5 snotrockets.
  • Madison Bumgarner now with 27 snotrockets in the 2010 season.

Some of the snotrocket screencaps I made from this game turned out pretty good. Others are fuzzy. All are worthy of our attention because they contain Madison Bumgarner’s mucus. First up is an up close and clear snotrocket from the 1st inning:

Same inning, different snotrocket:

Shadowy snotrocket in the 2nd inning:

Madison Bumgarner literally snotrocketing on the Rockies:

This snotrocket from the 4th inning is a new favorite because I like how Bumgarner’s nose looks:

Did you see what I mean? No? Here let me help you:

LOOK AT IT:

It’s hard to tell in this screencap because it’s so very fuzzy but the multitasking Mr. Bumgarner blew a snotrocket on his way to back up home plate:

Modest snotrocket from the 5th inning:

Three different long distance snotrockets from the 7th inning with the first one an at-bat snotrocket:

Also from the 7th inning:

And one final snotrocket to close it out:

Madison Bumgarner’s next start after this one in Denver was on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 on the road vs. the Milwaukee Brewers. When I watch that game I’ll probably live tweet it as well so see you on Twitter or here for all the exciting vintage Bumgarner snotrocket action.

Interleague Snotrockets Premiere

Madison Bumgarner made his major league debut in September 2009. He was only twenty years old at the time, filling in as an emergency spot starter for Tim Lincecum (back spasms). He had three other appearances after that in 2009, all in relief.  2010 saw Bumgarner return to the majors for good in June. His first start that year was against the Boston Red Sox which makes that game the first time Bumgarner blew some interleague snotrockets. A landmark event in the lefty pitcher’s career.

Here are Madison Bumgarner’s snotrocket totals and other vital statistics for Saturday, June 26, 2010 at home vs. the Boston Red Sox:

  • L, 7 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 1 BB, 5 K, 2 HR, 11 SNR (snotrockets): 0 vs. lefties, 6 vs. righties, 5 other. 2 pre-game SNR. 1 at-bat SNR.
  • Madison Bumgarner’s most prolific inning was the 1st in which he blew 4 snotrockets.
  • Madison Bumgarner with 11 snotrockets so far in the 2010 season.

Just as with the 2009 snotrocket screencaps that I’ve posted in this blog these vintage 2010 snotrocket screencaps aren’t of the best quality. The video of these 7 year old games is quite fuzzy at times but fuzzy Bumgarner snotrockets are better than no Bumgarner snotrockets at all. One of two fuzzy pre-game snotrockets that Bumgarner blew on that day:

Hot on the heels of that first pre-game snotrocket we got the second one:

Soft focus and up close snotrocket from the 6th inning:

Madison Bumgarner’s next start after this one was on Thursday, July 1, 2010 on the road vs. the Colorado Rockies. When I watch it I will probably live tweet it as I do every Bumgarner start and of course post totals in this blog so see you here or on Twitter for all the exciting vintage Bumgarner snotrocket action.

2016 Snotrockets Revisited

The snotrocket statistics of Madison Bumgarner that I keep make up the bulk of your daily snotrocket requirements. The snotrocket screencaps are something extra, the oils and sweets part of the snotrocket pyramid, the tastiest part. On Twitter @SanDiegoGiants and @iamjerklord consistently provide for delighted fans Bumgarner’s snotrockets in screencaps. I compiled last season’s output into gif form so without further ado here are every 2016 Madison Bumgarner snotrocket and loogie screencap they made, in chronological order:

Takes your breath away, doesn’t it? By the way I also included every nose wipe along with the snotrockets and loogies just because they’re nose related. I did end up leaving out all the other extras like cup fidgets, ear digs and eye wipes because I wanted to keep this gif as mucus pure as possible. You’re welcome.

Snotrocket Fuzz Interference

Madison Bumgarner’s final appearance in the 2009 season came against the Padres in October. Bumgarner pitched 2 innings in relief and did well, giving up 0 runs. He had one lone snotrocket but it was a long distance from behind snotrocket and an extremely fuzzy one at that (I mentioned in another post that the video quality from these 8 year old games is not the best) so I wasn’t able to get a good screencap of it. The best I could get was a fuzzy nose wipe by Bumgarner in the 7th inning:

There was also a less fuzzy quiet moment of reflection from Bumgarner before his first pitch of the night:

Here are Madison Bumgarner’s snotrocket totals and other vital statistics for Saturday, October 3, 2009 on the road vs. the San Diego Padres:

  • ND, 2 IP, 1 H, 2 BB (1 IBB), 0 R, 0 ER, 1 SNR (snotrockets): 0 vs. lefties, 1 vs righties, 0 other.
  • Madison Bumgarner blew his lone snotrocket in the bottom of the 6th inning.
  • Madison Bumgarner finished the 2009 season with 11 snotrockets.

I will be posting Madison Bumgarner’s season snotrocket totals for 2009 soon and then after that I’ll start tallying Bumgarner’s 2010 snotrockets. I can hardly wait. See you here or on Twitter for all the exciting seasoned snotrockets.
