Madison Bumgarner made his major league debut in September 2009. He was only twenty years old at the time, filling in as an emergency spot starter for Tim Lincecum (back spasms). He had three other appearances after that in 2009, all in relief. 2010 saw Bumgarner return to the majors for good in June. His first start that year was against the Boston Red Sox which makes that game the first time Bumgarner blew some interleague snotrockets. A landmark event in the lefty pitcher’s career.
Here are Madison Bumgarner’s snotrocket totals and other vital statistics for Saturday, June 26, 2010 at home vs. the Boston Red Sox:
- L, 7 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 1 BB, 5 K, 2 HR, 11 SNR (snotrockets): 0 vs. lefties, 6 vs. righties, 5 other. 2 pre-game SNR. 1 at-bat SNR.
- Madison Bumgarner’s most prolific inning was the 1st in which he blew 4 snotrockets.
- Madison Bumgarner with 11 snotrockets so far in the 2010 season.
Just as with the 2009 snotrocket screencaps that I’ve posted in this blog these vintage 2010 snotrocket screencaps aren’t of the best quality. The video of these 7 year old games is quite fuzzy at times but fuzzy Bumgarner snotrockets are better than no Bumgarner snotrockets at all. One of two fuzzy pre-game snotrockets that Bumgarner blew on that day:
Hot on the heels of that first pre-game snotrocket we got the second one:
Soft focus and up close snotrocket from the 6th inning:
Madison Bumgarner’s next start after this one was on Thursday, July 1, 2010 on the road vs. the Colorado Rockies. When I watch it I will probably live tweet it as I do every Bumgarner start and of course post totals in this blog so see you here or on Twitter for all the exciting vintage Bumgarner snotrocket action.
