Return Of The Snotrockets

The long anticipated return of Madison Bumgarner from the disabled list finally happened tonight in San Diego. Bumgarner went on the DL back on April 21 of this year when he went toe to toe with a dirt bike. The dirt bike won. Bumgarner and snotrocket fans everywhere lost. The world went dark. But happy days are here again because Madison Bumgarner and his snotrockets are back. The world is a better place with them both.

Here are Madison Bumgarner’s snotrocket totals and other vital statistics for Saturday, July 15, 2017 on the road vs. the San Diego Padres:

  • ND, 7.0 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 5 K, 2 HR, 1 SNR (snotrocket): 0 vs. lefties, 0 vs. righties, 1 other.
  • Madison Bumgarner’s most prolific inning was the 1st in which he blew 1 snotrocket.
  • Bumgarner now with 27 snotrockets in the 2017 season.

Also back and hard at work capturing snotrockets was @SanDiegoGiants. He was in attendance at Petco Park in San Diego tonight to witness Bumgarner and his magic mucus up close and personal. Unfortunately Mr. Bumgarner was dry as a bone tonight and only produced 1 on-camera snotrocket. @SanDiegoGiants missed that one but did however snag one snotrocket that wasn’t shown on TV:

@SanDiegoGiants got some other Bumgarner goodies too. Here’s a gif of a Bumgarner at-bat:

Cup twitch edition:

As long as you’ve got a Bumgarner cup twitch you might as well throw in a weird gif of it:

Dueling nose wipe tweets:

Before the game started @iamjerklord may have missed an opportunity to catch a snotrocket because she was distracted by something:

The cup twitches outnumbered the snotrockets in tonight’s game. Here Madison Bumgarner makes another adjustment to his nether region while Giants second baseman Joe Panik makes a guest appearance:

Sure I was happy that Bumgarner was back, healthy again and well enough to pitch but the extreme lack of snotrockets had me on edge:

And after Bumgarner gave up a home run:

EXCITING UPDATE: That clever Giants paparazzi duo @SanDiegoGiants and @iamjerklord staked out the team bus after Sunday’s game in San Diego and obtained some incredible shots of a Madison Bumgarner in the wild. First up – a little hand wave for the fans:

Concern etched on Bumgarner’s face. It’s almost like he’s worried about something:

It’s all good though:

Madison Bumgarner’s next start will probably be on this coming Thursday, July 20, 2017 at home vs. the San Diego Padres. See you here or on Twitter for all the exciting Bumgarner snotrocket action.
