Another stop on the Madison Bumgarner Vintage Snotrocket Tour, this time at a home game in San Francisco in late July 2010. Bumgarner pitched pretty well but received just his third loss of the season as his teammates couldn’t come up with any runs for him. Bumgarner didn’t take it personally, at least not snotrocket-wise, accumulating a nice little amount of snotrockets for this outing.
Here are Madison Bumgarner’s snotrocket totals and other vital statistics for Thursday, July 29, 2010 at home vs. the Florida Marlins:
- L, 6.0 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 1 IBB, 5 K, 8 SNR (snotrockets): 2 vs. L, 4 vs. R, 2 other. 1 pre-game SNR. 1 double blow SNR.
- Madison Bumgarner’s most prolific inning was the 1st in which he blew 5 snotrockets.
- Bumgarner through 7 starts in 2010 had 81 snotrockets.
All of these old MLB games are hit and miss when it comes to screencapping snotrockets. The video quality is weirdly bad at times, resulting in fuzzy, distorted snotrockets. Sometimes though you get a nice sharp clear one out of the blue. This game was not one of those times. I only saw about three snotrockets out of the eight that Bumgarner blew that day that were worth screencapping and even those three are on the fuzzy side. But here they are in chronological order of appearance. Fuzzy pre-game snotrocket from the 1st inning:
Fuzzy snotrocket screencap #2 is also from the 1st inning:
And a third fuzz-coated snotrocket screencap from the 4th inning. Bumgarner’s nose looks Jughead-esque in this one:
Marlins lineup for this game. Note some guy named Mike Stanton batting 7th:
Giants defensively for this game:
Since it was a home game for the Giants we got these two dapper gentlemen in the TV booth:
At one point they showed Will Clark walking around outside the ballpark:
Madison Bumgarner’s next start after this one was against the Rockies in Colorado. High altitude snotrockets, nice. See you here or on Twitter for all the exciting Bumgarner vintage snotrockets.
