Short Term Snotrockets

I watched one 2010 Madison Bumgarner start yesterday, a game against the Marlins, but it wasn’t enough:

Thus:

However:

Ah well, some days are better snotrocket-wise than others.

Here are Madison Bumgarner’s snotrocket totals and other vital statistics for Wednesday, August 4, 2010 on the road vs. the Colorado Rockies:

  • L, 4 IP, 9 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 1 BB, 3 K, 1 HR, 6 SNR (snotrockets): 4 vs. lefties, 1 vs. righties, 1 other.
  • Madison Bumgarner’s most prolific inning was the 5th in which he blew 4 snotrockets.
  • Madison Bumgarner through 8 starts in 2010 had 87 snotrockets.

Even though Bumgarner only went 4 innings he did blow 6 snotrockets so the game wasn’t a total loss. I was only able to get one fairly decent screencap of a snotrocket though:

The other snotrockets were all too fuzzy to screencap. I did manage to capture a Pat Burrell pinkie nose pick:

And it was nice to see a little bit of the Humm Baby himself, former Giants manager Roger Craig, in this broadcast:

Madison Bumgarner’s next start after this one was a night game at home vs. the Chicago Cubs. Maybe the game being at night will change the look of the snotrockets and make them less fuzzy-appearing. Game under the lights = sharper snotrocket screencaps? Check back at this blog next week or follow me on Twitter to find out. See you here or there for all the exciting Madison Bumgarner vintage snotrocket action.
