Unsnotrockets

On August 2 Madison Bumgarner doubled his snotrocket totals from his previous start. You’d think that would be a cause to celebrate but he only blew one snotrocket in that game so…yeah. Save the champagne for another day.

Here are Madison Bumgarner’s snotrocket totals and other vital statistics for Thursday, August 2, 2018 on the road vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks:

  • W, 5.0 IP, 7 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 5 K, 2 SNR (snotrockets): 0 vs. lefties, 0 vs. righties, 2 other. 1 at-bat SNR.
  • Madison Bumgarner’s most prolific inning was the 3rd in which he blew 2 snotrockets.
  • Bumgarner now with 44 snotrockets in the 2018 season.

It’s bad enough that Bumgarner only blew 2 snotrockets this time out but the two he blew weren’t even good screencapping material. One was an at-bat snotrocket seen from such a distance that an ordinary, non-snotrocket-tallying person couldn’t tell if Bumgarner was blowing a snotrocket or scratching his teeth. The only other snotrocket was a hidden snotrocket seen from behind:

How depressing. Madison’s diminishing snotrocket totals even perplexed his favorite snotrocket screencapper @SanDiegoGiants:

……….

Madison Bumgarner’s next start was earlier today (this blog post is a couple days late). As soon as I have the snotrocket totals from today’s game I will post them on Twitter and then here. So go there or come back here for all the exciting Bumgarner snotrocket action. You’ll be glad you did.
