Just a single snotrocket in Madison Bumgarner’s most recent start. A sad little nasal shot of mucus. One is the loneliest number.
Here are Madison Bumgarner’s snotrocket totals and other vital statistics for Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at home vs. the Colorado Rockies:
- ND, 7.0 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 2 BB, 3 HR, 1 SNR (snotrockets): 0 vs. lefties, 0 vs. righties, 1 other. 1 pregame SNR.
- Madison Bumgarner’s most prolific inning was the 1st in which he blew 1 snotrocket.
- Bumgarner now with 103 snotrockets in the 2019 season.
Even though Bumgarner got a no-decision and the Giants eventually lost we did have some nice moments in this game. Both Buster Posey and Madison Bumgarner hit home runs which resulted in some cool statistics:
Madison Bumgarner’s next start is…in 2020? It was to have been tomorrow which would have been most fitting as it is the last game that Giants’ esteemed manager Bruce Bochy will be managing before he retires. However the puzzling decision was made by Bochy to not have Bumgarner start for reasons that sounded rather vague and unsatisfying. If September 24 was Bum’s last appearance in a game this season then he stands at 103 snotrockets for 2019. However I am holding out hope that Madison will make a relief appearance in tomorrow’s game against the Los Angeles Dodgers (ew) or at the very least pinch hit. Anything to get some more snotrockets from our King. So check back here or come visit on @Twitter for all the exciting Bumgarner snotrocket action.
