We experienced the first multi-snotrocket game of the year for Madison Bumgarner the other day. Admittedly I was a little worried when this “season” first began as baseball’s plague rules prohibited spitting. Of course nothing was said about snotrockets but I was fearful that overzealous MLB officials would try to ban Bumgarner’s nasal mucus from the field of play. Not to worry though because Madison has blown at least one snotrocket in every start so far this “season” and like the courteous gentleman he is all his snotrockets were out by the mound away from other people.
Here are Madison Bumgarner’s snotrocket totals and other vital statistics for Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at home vs. the Houston Astros:
- L, 4.1 IP, 7 H, 8 R, 7 ER, 2 BB (1 IBB), 2 K, 2 HR, 3 SNR (snotrockets): 0 vs. lefties, 1 vs. righties, 2 other. 1 pregame SNR. 3 indoor SNR.
- Madison Bumgarner’s most prolific innings were the 1st, 4th and 5th in which he blew 1 snotrocket per inning.
- Madison Bumgarner now with 5 snotrockets in the 2020 “season”.
I was only able to get one clear snotrocket screencap from the game:
One is better than none. And three are better than one. Anyway, Madison Bumgarner’s next start should be this Sunday, August 9, 2020 on the road vs. the San Diego Padres. See you here or on Twitter for all the exciting Bumgarner snotrocket action.
