The article of clothing, not the state. But the way the San Francisco Giants (didn’t) score tonight against the Colorado Rockies they might as well have been in New Jersey, ’cause the offense barely showed up in Denver.
Tonight’s game saw the first Madison Bumgarner snotrocket into his jersey which was about the only memorable thing from this game, other than Bumgarner’s terrific pitching performance. Hunter Pence hit a solo home run and that was it for the Giants’ offense. Sigh.
Here are Madison Bumgarner’s snotrocket totals and other vital statistics for Tuesday, April 22, 2014 on the road vs. the Colorado Rockies:
- L, 8.0 IP, 9 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB (IBB), 6 K, 2 HR, 12 SNR (snotrockets). 3 vs. lefties, 4 vs. righties, 5 other. 2 double SNR, 2 at-bat SNR, 1 in jersey (at-bat) SNR.
- Bumgarner’s most prolific inning was the 6th in which he blew 3 snotrockets.
Thanks and gratitude must go to @SanDiegoGiants for providing so many great snotrocket screencaps from tonight’s game. Without them this blog would just be a few snotrocket stats and some general overall whining about the lack of Giants offense. So enjoy the following:
Another snotrocket from the 6th
And the aforementioned jersey snotrocket
I thought the tweet that went along with the above photo was great
Bonus screencap: a Madison Bumgarner loogie
Did you notice in the above loogie screencap that Captain Clarence Oveur made a special guest appearance
I just have one more thing to say about the lack of Giants offense in tonight’s game:
Madison Bumgarner’s next start should be Tuesday, April 28 at home vs. the San Diego Padres. See you here or on Twitter for all the exciting snotrocket action.
Oh yes I almost forgot: fuck you Dinger.
